Team Rewards

Working as a team at Escape on 13th is very important! You will find that each staff member has a willingness to help each other. We have team bonuses to reward this kind of behavior and culture!

Reward - Requirement

Stock the Fridge! - We receive 40+ google reviews where ≥95% of stars out of all possible stars are given in a given month. A perfect score would be all reviews, say 40, times 5 stars gives a possible 200 stars total. 95% of 200 is 190. So as long as we didn't miss more than 10 stars for 40 reviews, you meet the requirements for the bonus! Easy way to calculate is: ((reviews*5) – missed stars)/(reviews*5). A four star review has 1 missed star, a one star review has 4 missed stars.

Free Escape Room - Earn a free escape room voucher to give to friends or family to come play a single room after we have sold 600 tickets to the Phone Booth Mini Escape.



Game Masters

There are ways to increase your pay at Escape on 13th as a Game Master: performance bonuses and experience pay (apply after passing the Training Mastery tests so focus on those first).


Training Mastery

To help you become an amazing game master, your Game Master skills should attain a certain base level of mastery. Many places start you at a lower training wage until you are trained. Here we start you at regular pay and, to provide extra value to you, pay you a bonus for each training you complete! There is a total of $100 on the line for training, so be sure to study the training and what you need to do to pass the tests! These test need to be passed within the first 100 hours of work. Each test will be available to you administered by the Head Game Master. These tests cannot be passed during your last two pay periods.

Training Mastery Test - Bonus

Opening & Closing - $20

Game Resetting - $30

Scripts, Bookeo, Square - $40

Policies, Phone - $10

Performance Bonuses

This bonus category is to reward you for the above and beyond things you do that generate revenue for Escape on 13th. We provide these bonuses for doing great work in this regard. If you have ideas to add to this category, let the Head Game Master know or an owner and maybe we can add it in!

Bonus - Requirement

$2.50 - for each booking using your discount code (don't mark on your timesheet)

$5 - any other booking made on your account (do mark on your timesheet)


Experience Pay Increases

Your experience at E13 should help you be a better and better Game Master, so there's a bonus to reflect that. This bonus requires:

  • Passing all Training Mastery Tests

  • 400 hours at E13

  • You are at least 18 years of age (exceptions may be made at Head Game Master's discretion)

When these requirements are met you may apply for a raise on the Make Offer page on the training site for shift lead responsibilities and up to $13/hour.



Head Game Master

These are the additional performance bonuses for the Head Game Master to strive for to raise their pay.


Performance Bonuses


Reward (monthly) - Requirements (monthly)

$150 bonus - ≥ 95% of new reviews were 5 stars and there were at least 40 new reviews.

$50 bonus - Every group finds the facility ready for their game to be run.

$20 bonus - Per each new Game Master that has passed their Training Mastery tests.



Extra-projects Manager

These are the additional performance bonuses for the Extra-projects Manager to strive for to raise their pay.

Reward (monthly) - Requirements (monthly)

$100 bonus - there were no new reviews that mention puzzle or game malfunctioning.

$100 bonus - at least one new and very professional addition was added to a game; aka a game was augmented in some way to increase the value the game offers to our customer experience. Something such as adding the light up eyes to Sam's skeleton. Doesn't include basic maintenance to ensure games are performing correctly at their fundamental base level.
